Sean Gaynor is the Managing Partner of the Gaynor Law Group. Sean is a trial attorney that specializes in the representation of health, medical and dental providers as well as other professionals in matters related to malpractice, general negligence, licensing board actions, policy, and business related issues. Over the course of his career, Sean has tried a plethora of cases to verdict throughout Wisconsin, the Midwest and nationally. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Attorneys, has been voted a Super Lawyer in Wisconsin since 2008 and was named to Wisconsin’s Powerlist of Attorneys in Healthcare.
Healthcare and professional liability is complex, both legally and factually, and carries significant financial and personal exposure. Sean is a strong believer in collaboration and ensures that his clients have an active say in how their respective matter is handled. In addition to his legal practice, Sean is active in numerous healthcare organizations and is a two-time Past President of the Wisconsin Society of Healthcare Risk Management, and now a member of the group’s Board of Directors. He has frequently lectured both in Wisconsin and Nationally for hospitals, health systems, medical residency programs, physicians, medical/dental associations, insurance companies and lawyers regarding health care, dental and professional liability. He has co-authored articles on informed consent, changes to Wisconsin’s peer review and quality assurance statutes and the physician-patient relationship. He also was recently published in the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine for work he did with various physicians at the Medical College of Wisconsin regarding workshops devoted to teaching Emergency Medicine Residents the legal process.
